Empowering Housing Counselors Strengthening Communities'

Practical training, professional development, and trusted support for HUD-certified housing counselors and HUD-approved housing counseling agencies.

Housing counselors are trusted advocates who help individuals and families make informed decisions during some of life’s most consequential moments. To serve clients effectively, counselors need more than certification—they need relevant knowledge, practical tools, professional support, and opportunities to continue growing.

The Housing Counselors Advocate is a specialized training and professional development initiative from The Leader In You Consulting. It was created to strengthen the knowledge, confidence, leadership, and effectiveness of HUD-certified housing counselors and the organizations that support them. Our programs connect regulatory knowledge with real-world counseling practice, helping professionals translate information into ethical, client-centered guidance that protects housing stability, expands opportunity, and produces meaningful outcomes.

PRACTICAL TRAINING FOR REAL WORLD IMPACT

Our learning experiences are designed around the situations housing counselors encounter every day. Programs may be delivered virtually, in person, or through customized organizational training.

Housing counselors spend their careers advocating for others. The Counselors Advocate exists to advocate for them.
